Being a soccer dad and driving the kids to their games has never been so exciting. The Chevrolet Suburban is getting some major performance upgrades so you’re never late to a dance recital or a parent/teacher conference. The 2019 Chevrolet Suburban RST Performance Package is anything but the typical family truckster.

Chevy gave the 2019 Suburban a huge boost by installing an RST 6.2-liter V-8 engine that pumps out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. To maximize the power in this huge truck, it has an Active Fuel Management and continuously variable valve timing. This “family” vehicle comes with Chevy’s new Hydra-Matic 10L80 10-speed automatic transmission and Magnetic Ride Control with performance calibration. It will be available with rear or all-wheel drive. All this power in a truck that comfortably seats NINE.

This bad boy sits on 22-inch wheels with Bridgestone 285/45R22 tires. Plus there’s black Chevy bowtie emblems, black mirror caps, magnetorheological dampers, roof rails, and a different gloss black grille. You can upgrade to a Borla dual exhaust system for a little more growl. Other options include oversize Brembo performance brakes with Duralife brake rotors.

Chevrolet hasn’t released performance numbers or pricing for the Suburban RST 6.2L yet, but expect them soon because this truck goes on sale this summer.
