What’s up, BroBible? You might notice that my weekly ‘Things We Want‘ gear guide for men got a makeover this week. The new look design is meant to fit more with the style of my daily Everyday Carry Essentials features.
In this new format, I’ll be featuring a handful of standalone items interspersed throughout grids of items that caught my attention throughout the week. Not only will this cut down on load time of the page and make the user experience run better, it will allow me to feature more items each week that we all simply must have. Adidas NCAA Partner Uniforms Inspired by the Harlem Renaissance

Today kicks off the first day of Black History Month and Adidas as debuted these throwback NCAA partner uniform which are inspired by the Harlem Renaissance. The University of Miami, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Texas A&M will debut these uniforms this weekend (February 2nd) but throughout the month, these unis will be worn by Arizona State University, Rutgers University, North Carolina State University, University of Miami, Mississippi State University, University of Louisville, University of Kansas, Indiana University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Texas A&M University, and Georgia Tech.
Inspired by the wooden floors of the ballrooms where basketball became culture, each adidas team jersey also includes patterns which mimic the fabrics and prints of the 1920s that became a means of self-expression and community pride. Each uniform features a unique bean stitch texture around the team name, the word “BALLROOM” on the inner waistband of each short, and a “Celebrating Black Culture” patch. The collection also includes a series corresponding footwear silhouettes which echo the colors of the jazz ballrooms so important to the era. Each detail is meant to be an homage to the art, poetry, sounds and sport of the Renaissance, and to those driving their passion forward.
