Just when I thought the stunning new Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato family of cars was about as amazing as one car company could make a car look, along comes, you guessed it, Aston Martin with a new limited edition DB11 AMR that blows almost every other car away when it comes to a combination of speed and beauty.

This new DB11 AMR immediately becomes the new performance flagship model of the Aston Martin DB11 range of vehicles. That’s because with this latest iteration, Aston Martin has upped the DB11’s twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 by 30 hp to 630 hp, increased the top speed to 208 mph, and lowered the 0 to 62 mph time down to just 3.7 seconds. All that makes the DB11 AMR the fastest model in Aston Martin’s current series production range.

Oh yeah, it’s also goddamn gorgeous.

Aston Martin President & Chief Executive Officer, Dr Andy Palmer said of the DB11 AMR: “Since its initial launch back in 2016 the DB11 range has matured rapidly and intelligently, selling close to 4,200 V12 examples in that period. With the exceptional V8 Coupe and Volante we felt the V12 could reveal more of its sporting potential, while remaining the consummate GT. By applying a suite of carefully considered performance and styling enhancements the DB11 AMR is both faster – 208mph! – and more precise. It’s a combination that engages and cossets in equal measure to create a dynamic and seductive new flagship for the DB11 range, while consolidating the existing V12-powered DB11s as future collectibles”.
