You’ve never seen a motorcycle like the Bandit9 L-Concept because there’s never been a motorcycle like the Bandit9 L-Concept before. The Bandit9 L-Concept motorcycle is futuristic because it is inspired by Star Trek. That’s right, this beautiful bike looks a lot like the USS Enterprise from Star Trek, especially the spacecraft’s reactor. “The only thing that stands between fact and fiction is time,” says Daryl Villanueva, founder and chief of design of Bandit9.
The piece of art on two wheels comes to us all the way from Vietnam, where the Bandit9 team dreamt up this spectacular minimalist vehicle. This Steam Punk Star Trek ride is handcrafted and features sculpted grips and levers chiseled from one piece of solid aluminum, before being polished to a shiny perfection. You won’t have a captain’s chair on the bridge, but you do have a luxurious Italian calf leather teardrop saddle.
This science-fiction turned into reality has a stainless steel unibody and suspended engine. The L-Concept four-stroke engine that looks like the reactor of the Enterprise delivers a displacement of 125cc and has a four-speed manual transmission. The L-Concept doesn’t exactly hit warp speed, but does have a top speed of 68.3 mph. The Bandit9 L-Concept rides on flat dual shocks, disc brakes, and 21-inch spoked rims fore and aft. The bike’s taillight is square and is made up of 45 micro LED lights.
“The L-Concept is a tribute to our favorite sci-fi films. It was created to serve the same purpose: to excite, to advance, and to progress humanity. Whether you’re a Trekkie or a Jedi or simply love futuristic gadgets, you’ll enjoy this sleek masterpiece,” the Bandit9 website says. Bandit9’s L Concept is available for sale for $10,950, which includes free door-to-door shipping. Only nine of this final frontier bikes will be made and six have already been sold.
