Booker’s ‘Beam House Batch’ Pays Tribute To One Of Bourbon’s Most Iconic Homes

Booker's Bourbon Jim Beam House Batch

Cass Anderson

The second Booker’s Bourbon batch of the year is out and ‘The Beam House Batch’ pays tribute to the Jim Beam home in Bardstown, Kentucky where I’ve broken bread and shared stories with Fred Noe, the 7th generation Beam Family master distiller and the man behind this Booker’s Bourbon batch release.

Booker’s Bourbon releases 4 batches each year and the second batch was released this week. Carrying an age statement of 7 years, 2 months, and 22 days this Booker’s clocks in at a fiery 124.6 proof.

The breakdown of the blend is as follows:

  • 28% came from the 4th floor of 7-story Warehouse 3
  • 25% came from the 7th floor of 9-story Warehouse H
  • 19% came from the 5th floor of 7-story Warehouse Q
  • 14% came from the 5th floor of 7-story Warehouse Z

One thing that will stick with me forever about the dinner I had at the Beam Family home in Bardstown, Kentucky after tasting Freddie Noe’s Little Book Chapter 5, the house this Booker’s Bourbon batch is named after, is the standalone smoker shack that’s so old it used to be an armory for the nearby girl’s school 100+ years ago.

Fred Noe, the man behind Booker’s Bourbon, sends out smoked hams as special gifts for people in his life around the holidays and those hams are smoked inside this massive smoker shack and honestly, I’ve never wanted anything so badly for my house after seeing this. One day I’ll have a home with a free-standing smoker structure. One day.

Anyway, this Booker’s ‘Beam House Batch’ was named by Fred Noe in honor of the home which his father lived in before him and his great granddad Jim Beam lived there before them. The gorgeous home is a part of the Beam Family legacy, as is this incredible Booker’s Batch Bourbon release.

As you can see above, it carries a rich amber color. On those there’s a huge wave of vanilla which is characteristic of a 7+ year old bourbon like this. There’s also dried fruit on the tongue that comes before a long Kentucky Hug on the finish. With an SRP of $99.99 it is now available nationwide.
