10 Essential Everyday Carry Items For Living Your Best Life
I wanted to mix things up a little bit today and throw together some must-have items for those nights when you want to toss a few back. We’ve got all the normal (and boozy) everyday carry essentials including whiskey, some stogies, and all of the apparel and accessories to go along with it. You can shop the full collection or pick and choose your favorites by following any of the links below!
Russell’s Reserve just blessed the world with their third release in their prestigious ‘Vintage’ series from master distiller Eddie Russell. Only 3,600 bottles of this limited release will be available at select retailers nationwide so you’ll want to track this down locally if you love Bourbon and make sure you don’t miss out. The Russell’s Reserve 2003 for a minimum of 16 years inside the RRR distillery’s Tyrone warehouses and this marks the absolute last of Russell’s Reserve 107-barrel-entry-proof whiskey. The flavor profile and characteristics are similar to special Wild Turkey releases from the late 80s and early 90s and Eddie Russell had a bonafide ‘Eureka!’ moment when he first tasted the barrel’s whiskey bursting with spice, fruit, and butterscotch. The aroma is full of sweet baking spices, fully-ripe stonefruits, and butterscotch. Two of my sweet ‘vices’ are caramel and butterscotch and the palate carries balanced flavors of burnt caramel, pepper, leather, and buttery vanilla.
The Vans Sport Sneaker in Marshmallow / Cream Gold ($60) is a straight up steal at $60. This classic sneaker style will go with jeans, chinos, shorts, or joggers. You can rock these every day and stay comfortable.
Here we’ve got Lululemon At Ease Hoodie ($148) which is a personal favorite of mine. I picked this hoodie up a few weeks ago and I’ve been wearing it on the couch quite literally every single day since. I have it in this Heathered Ancient Copper colorway but it also comes in a Light Grey style. It has a four-way stretch and a large Kangaroo pouch (with an internal zipper pocket) for tucking your hands or valuables. There’s a hidden ‘media pocket’ for you phone. This is truly the most comfortable and best-fitting hoodie I’ve ever owned so check this one out for sure (and thank me later!).
You can pair that hoodie with the Western Rise AT Slim Pants ($128) which come in Flat Black (pictured here), Blue Grey, or Sand. These classic 5-pocket rivet pants are cut from AT Cloth: high-denier, air-textured nylon canvas. The UPF 50+ keeps your comfy and protected no matter if you’re pounding dusty trails in Utah or road tripping across the country.
Next is a slick everyday carry pocket knife from Monthly Knife Club. If you’re not familiar with Monthly Knife Club then today’s your lucky day. For between $10 to $45/month they will send you a brand new world-class pocket knife each month so you can beef up your collection and gift them out to friends if you want. Monthly Knife Club also has individual knives for sale which you can click here to purchase. This really is a cool way to take the guesswork out of buying pocket knives and this way the experts can make the best decisions.
Here we’ve got the Ledlenser MT14 Flashlight ($99) which gives you up to 192 hours of use on low power mode. This is a powerful and futuristic flashlight that’s unlike anything you’re used to. The Ledlenser Advanced Focus System allows you to quickly go from a close-up wide flood beam to a sharply focused long-distance beam on the fly and it has 4 different light functions.
‘Tis the season to be flasking, am I right? I’ve been taking the Outback Steakhouse approach to life over the past few months of ‘no rules, just right’ and going with whatever feels good on any given day and some days that means sipping a spirit with my lunch. I’m inviting you gentlemen to join me in living Flask Life with these leather and silicone flasks from Ragproper. Pictured here is 240ml Ragproper Black Silicone + Glass Flask but they’re also sold in brown leather and 100ml sizes if you’d prefer.
The all-new Flint and Tinder Leather Card Wallet ($50) is a stitched leather option with 4 card slots. The all-leather construction is designed to develop a gorgeous patina as it ages and the slim design is perfect for conserving pocket space.
We round it out today with this Good Cigar Co. 2 Pack of Cigars (Full-bodied) ($30) comes with a Aficionado/Full Flavor set of stogies along with matches and a cigar cutter. I’ve ordered this and loved it. Chilling on the porch right now and burning one down is a welcome distraction.
Last up is the all-new Sandqvist Erland Lightweight – 12L Ziptop backpack ($130). This bag is constructed out of 100% recycled ripstop nylon, features a 13″ laptop pocket, has EDC pockets throughout, and it packs down to fit into its own pocket.
