I figured I’d mix things up a little bit today and throw together some must-have items for those nights when you want to toss a few back. We’ve got all the normal (and boozy) everyday carry essentials including bourbon, some drinking essentials, and all of the apparel and accessories to go along with it. You can shop the full collection or pick and choose your favorites by following any of the links below!
First up today is the just-released Bookers Bourbon ‘Pigskin Batch’ 2020-03 ($89.99). The third Booker’s Batch Bourbon release of 2020 came later than usual but the wait was well worth it. The name ‘Pigskin Batch’ is a nod to 7th Generation Master Distiller Fred Noe’s love of football. He stands 6’4″ and weighs near 300-pounds, played as a tackle and kicker, and football was a family tradition for them.
This is a 127.3-proof bourbon aged 6 years, 7 months, and 7 days. It has a perfect light brown color that catches the light just right in your glass. It has an aroma of sweet vanilla and butterscotch. The flavor is bold with a long and warm finish as it coats your mouth and calms the body. As is the case with any bourbon, the best way to sip it is however you enjoy it the most (neat, over ice, or with a few drops of water). The $89.99 price point makes this an ideally suited release for the holidays where a lot of people try and gift a world-class bourbon under $100. I look forward to the quarterly Booker’s Batch releases as much as anything on the annual Bourbon Calendar and the timing of the Pigskin Batch release means I’ll be enjoying this one on Christmas Eve this year and I cannot wait.
The Dr. Martens Coronado Men’s Leather Casual Shoes ($90) are based on the company’s Original 3-Eye silhouette. This shoe’s crafted from a lightly textured Hana leather, a personal favorite of mine because of the rugged finish. These casual shoes look great with jeans or chinos.
The USA Palm Reversible Sherpa ($99) embodies comfort in ways I can’t even begin to express with my limited vocabulary. It feels like you’re wearing a cloud mixed with a soft blanket. And it’s reversible! Also, this comes in a ton of different styles for you to choose from ranging from retro to contemporary. Give it a chance and you’ll be very glad you did.
You can pair that sherpa with the Edwin ‘Maddox’ Jeans ($168). Since the 1960s, Edwin has been one of the best name in jeans and they somehow continue to get better each year. This classic five pocket design can’t be beat. Here we see them in Black (88% cotton, 8% polyester, 4% lycra) but they also come in a traditional blue if you’re looking for more traditional jeans.
Here we check out a unique everyday carry pocket knife from Deejo Knives ($70) which features a dope custom blade tattoo. These are some of the most customizable knives on the planet, they are super light, and ideal for everyday carry. They allow you to pick a unique ‘tattoo’ to make the knife your own as well as choosing the blade and handle features.
Next is the Todd Snyder x Timex Q Bracelet Watch ($179) which is a limited-edition collaboration between Timex and Todd Snyder. This is a perfect watch for everyday wear because you can dress it up or down depending on the occasion as it easily fits with jeans and a sweater or a suit. It features a retro ‘brick link’ bracelet, is water-resistant up to 50 meters, and is powered by a reliable quartz movement.
Here we have the Daneson Combo 2-Pack Cinnamint + Mint Toothpicks ($14) which includes one pack of each. These are great for people like myself who carry around a lot of nervous energy and don’t want to look like a doofus with a fidget spinner. And for every tree that’s cut down to make these the company plants 100 NEW trees so you’re actually doing a good thing buy purchasing these.
And you’ll want to enjoy that world-class Booker’s Batch bourbon in the perfect glass. The Whiskey Peaks Grand Tetons – Set of 4 ($65) are some of the coolest whiskey glasses you’ll find anywhere. They feature topographic designs of iconic mountains. This set of 4 is made with 100% lead-free handblown glass that’s lighter and more durable than leaded glass. If you’d prefer something other than the Grand Tetons they also have an American Mountains collection as well as International Mountains.
We round it out with the Hestra Utsjö – Elk/Fleece Gloves ($165). These Nordic elk gloves come in six different colors and are built to withstand the harshest of conditions. They feature Primaloft polyester insulation which is warm, breathable, and water-resistant. They have touchscreen pads on the thumb and index fingers so you can use your smartphone if needed and this Nordic elk style is an exclusive product at Huckberry so hit that link above if you’re liking it.
Last up today is The Ridge Carbon Fiber Wallet + Cash Plate ($125) is a favorite of everyday carry enthusiasts because of how lightweight it is and the superior craftsmanship. This minimalist wallet holds between 1-12 cards and has the elastic cash strap to hold all of your bills. This wallet only weighs 1.7oz which is unbelievably light compared to the competition.
