Your ideal collection of everyday carry gear will look different than mine and mine will look different than the guy sitting in the truck next to me at a stoplight. Every guy has unique wants and needs when it comes to his everyday carry essentials but this hand-picked collection of gear that I’ve put together here has a little something for everyone.
From gear to gadgets, apparel to accessories, this capsule of the best men’s everyday carry essentials can be yours by following any of the links throughout this article. You can pick and choose any of your favorite everyday carry items or treat yourself to the whole kit and caboodle. Let’s dive right into it, shall we?
First up today are the Cloos x Brady Collection ‘Ristretto’ Sunglasses ($189) which is part of a custom collection between the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady and Christopher Cloos. Thinking back a year I could I simply could not imagine a world where Tom Brady would leave the New England Patriots and come play for my Tampa Bay Buccaneers and relieve me of Jameis Winston’s INTs every Sunday. If you told me that was a possibility I would’ve laughed in your face. But here we are. Me, flipping on my TV on Sundays to root for the G.O.A.T. and his gorgeous Christopher Cloos custom shades. These ‘Ristretto’ Sunglasses are made with premium biodegradable Italie Acetat + M49 Mazzuccheli frames and polarized CR39 lenses, they also come with a signature case + cleaning cloth.
Here we have the exquisite Nisolo Javier Chelsea Boot in Brandy Leather ($230). I don’t feature Chelsea Boots often enough here on BroBible but when I do you should know that these are the best around because after purchasing these you won’t look anywhere else. These feature a ware-resistant leather upper, studded rubber sole, 1.25″ heel cap, and soft leather insole for comfort all day every day.
The Flint and Tinder Quilted Waxed Shirt Jacket ($248) is a jacket you’ll only need to buy once in your lifetime because this is built to last. It features diamond quilting throughout the inside and outside, a shell made from the legendary (and highly water-resistant) British Millerain waxed canvas and super cozy insulation made from recycled Primaloft®. This is a jacket you can wear comfortably in the Rocky Mountains or on the streets of San Francisco, it’s stylish from coast to coast and across the pond.
You can pair that shirt with the Wellen Organic Stretch Denim ($98) which come in a Dark Wash (pictured here) and a Light Wash. The custom Wellen wave pattern paired with back pocket stitching is built to last and look great every day. The denim is made from 99% organic cotton but an added 1% spandex to give them the perfect amount of stretch and comfort.
The Benchmade Bugout Serrated Knife ($119) is on sale and marked down $21 from the usual $140 price tag. The blade on this everyday carry essentials is made from CPM-S30V stainless steel, some of the finest stainless steel on the planet. If you are looking for a lightweight knife that’s durable and has excellent edge retention then this is it, and a bonus feature is this knife’s made in Oregon.
I’m a big fan of this Flint and Tinder Leather Loop Key Chain ($28) which has a brass clip to keep your keys secure and a robust leather strap. This is a classic keychain style that’s always been a favorite of everyday carry enthusiasts and this particular one will develop a nice patina over time as the leather ages and takes on character.
The Woolly Made Laser-Cut Leather 4-Card Wallet ($75) is a really cool slim wallet. It is laser cut and hand-crafted in Portland, Oregon and the laser cutting adds this awesome vintage style to it that you rarely find these days. This is Woolly Made’s most popular wallet and for good reason, as it’s strong and rugged enough to last a lifetime.
I wanted to throw the Brunton Lensatic Compass ($17) in here today because I was recently arguing with a friend who doesn’t know how to use a compass about how this is a life skill literally every man alive should have. This compass will only set you back $17 and it has luminous points for low-light visibility if you’re ever using it in the field.
We round it out with he Ledlenser MT14 Flashlight ($99) which gives you up to 192 hours of use on low power mode. This is a flashlight unlike anything you’re used to. The Ledlenser Advanced Focus System allows you to quickly go from a close-up wide flood beam to a sharply focused long-distance beam on the fly and it has 4 different light functions.
Last up today is the Filson Dryden Ballistic Nylon Backpack ($225) which is constructed out of highly weather-resistant Cordura® and it has a double-reinforced bottom so your gear stays dry, secure, and the backpack lasts you a lifetime. It has heavy-panel zippers, well-ventilated and cushioned straps, and the dual drop-in side pockets are great for bottles.
