EA Sports x Adidas Reveal Sick Limited-Edition 4th Jerseys For Teams In ‘FIFA 19’ And Fans Can Actually Buy Them IRL
EA Sports’ FIFA 19 is one of the most popular video games on the planet with over 42 million active console players. This makes perfect sense given that soccer is the most popular sport worldwide and FIFA 19 is far and away the best soccer video game on the planet.
Last year, EA Sports and Adidas Football treated gamers to something special by releasing digital-only 4th Kits for four of the most popular teams on the planet: Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United, and Bayern FC. Those digital 4th kits were so immensely popular that EA Sports and Adidas Football are releasing new designs this year but there’s a twist, fans will actually have the opportunity to buy those jerseys in real life.
Last year it was all digital. This year, it’s digital + fans can own the physical jerseys. Adidas Football and EA Sports unveiled the new designs today and HOLY $H*T am I in love with the Juventus FC kit. Don’t get me wrong, they’re ALL amazing.
Thanks to EA Sports, I was given an advanced look at these amazing 4th Kits in person and they’re everything you’d want from a jersey and more because there’s the whole added level of exclusivity to them. Only 7,000 of these jerseys will be available worldwide so you’ll want to check out EA Sports’ landing page for information on how to obtain them both digitally and in real life.
The jerseys are made from a moisture-wicking fabric that’s insanely comfortable to the point that I want to sleep in these kits as much as I want to work out in them.
The 4th kits, available on EA Sports’ website, are bold in design. These kits will be available digitally to EA Sports FIFA 19 players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and on Nintendo Switch to players who are fans of the clubs. Players can also obtain them through the FIFA 19 Ultimate Team (FUT) packs and weekly objectives. Once obtained, players can floss them on the pitch for everyone to gawk at.
Reigning Champions League cup holders Real Madrid have moved away from their traditional look by drawing on inspiration of ‘otherworldly elements’ from the players who have played for Madrid in the past. The Real Madrid jersey is a dark blue with splashes of white meant to reflect the night sky in Madrid.
The new Juventus EA SPORTS x Adidas Football Jersey reminds me of an 80s throwback hyper color shirt with iridescent rainbow colors. This jersey is 100% going to be a hypebeast’s dream if they can get their hands on one. The mirrored effect of the jersey is meant to signify opponents watching themselves getting passed by Juventus players with ease.
The Bayern FC 4th jersey is LOUD, and I love it. The starry design across bold oranges is meant to symbolize the anthem that permeates throughout Allianz Arena before games. It features the Bayern FC crest across the chest. FC Bayern is a team of stars and the starry look embodies their status as ‘Stern des Südens’.
The Manchester United EA Sports x Adidas Football 4th jersey is my second favorite of the lot. The bold leopard print and color pattern reminds my favorite World Cup 2018 kit but this is a major upgrade with streetwear elements.
All four of these kits will be available digitally within FIFA 19 and you can CLICK HERE for information on how to get them in the game. Around 7,000 of these jerseys will be available for purchase in real life at adidas.com/soccer as well as in select stores. Check out their store for more information on that.
I feel like I should mention that I was gifted these four jerseys for this article to take photographs of and scope them out before the news broke, but neither BroBible nor myself was monetarily compensated for this article. I just really, really love these kits and wanted to share them with you bros (especially the Juve 4th).
