Video Of Leaked iPhone 7 Shows New Features And Color, Plus Expected Release Date And Price

We are still more than a month from the iPhone 7 being released, but many questions were answered when a video of Apple’s latest flagship smartphone was unveiled. The video, released by Unbox Therapy, shows the leaked iPhone 7 in all of its glory and in a vibrant new blue color.

Apple is set to unleash two new iPhone 7 models this fall — a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch version. The larger version, the iPhone 7 “Plus/Pro,” will be equipped with 3GB of RAM and the smaller 4.7-inch will have 2GB like the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. The new phones will be powered by an Apple A10 processor. Apple will offer an entry level of 32GB, say goodbye to 16GB.

The larger model is expected to feature a dual camera system. The 4.7-inch model is said to have a new and improved 12-megapixel single-lens camera. The phone will also have a Smart Connector and the antenna will run along the ridges of the phone.

Noticeably missing is the audio jack (Which was mocked by Samsung during their Note 7 presentation). That is because there won’t be an audio jack. To compensate for the missing headphone jack Apple installed twin external speakers.

The new iPhone 7 Plus looks to be fractionally slimmer than the current iPhone 6S Plus, 7.14mm compared to 7.18mm.

Mobile insider Evan Blass confirmed that pre-orders will begin on September 9, and the release date will likely be Friday, September 16.

Rumored pricing of the upcoming models:

  • iPhone 7 32GB: $649
  • iPhone 7 128GB: $749
  • iPhone 7 256GB: $849
  • iPhone 7 Plus 32GB: $749
  • iPhone 7 Plus 128GB: $849
  • iPhone 7 Plus 256GB: $949
