The New Lems Primal Pursuit Is A Rugged, Lightweight Shoe We’re Loving

Boulder, Colorado-based Lems Shoes is known for its outdoor-focused, ultra-lightweight shoes. Their latest release, the Primal Pursuit, is a mix between their best-selling Primal 2 (6.9 total oz) and their Trailhead (11.7 total oz).

If we were telling a Goldilocks story of the Primal Pursuit, it would be the just-right between the two Lems models mentioned above. Primal Pursuit aims to stay lightweight like the Primal 2 while also incorporating the built-up support that’s been applied to Trailhead—it’s a shoe for adventurers who want to go as light as possible while still keeping support in key areas.

So what’s the Primal Pursuits weight? It clocks in at a lofty 10.5 oz. The shoe features a polyurethane with air mesh upper and a Trail Traction rubber outsole with 3.5mm lugs.

Inside the shoe, the Primal has got a 100% polyester liner that’s soft and moisture-wicking. A polyurethane insole with enhanced cushioning in the heel is added for protection from uneven terrain.

The best part about the Primal Pursuit is it’s built for multiple environments. Wear these on your next flight out of town, or stuff them in your bag on your next road trip.

You can wear them on a short Saturday morning hike, then wear them on over to your local brewery to celebrate the physical exercise you and your buddies just put in.

If you head on over to Huckberry right now you can snag the Pursuit in a sleek Nocturnal Ninja color, or in a cool Orion Blue. These bad boys qualify for free U.S. shipping.
