Are you filthy rich and bored with your luxury Lexus coupe? Great news, now you can get a matching luxury Lexus yacht. Lexus revealed images for the LY 650, the Japanese car company’s first-ever maritime vessel, and it looks absolutely spectacular.
The LY 650 is a 65-foot-long ship that will be built, sold, and serviced by the Wisconsin-based boat builder Marquis-Larson Boat Group. The brand-new Lexus boat will feature a design inspired by “L-finesse” expression, but in a slick-looking luxury yacht.
The Lexus yacht features a 19-foot beam form, holds 1,000 gallons of fuel, and is powered by a Volvo IPS 1200 engine or you can upgrade to the IPS 1350. You can see that the LY 650 yacht was inspired by the aggressive and sleek styling of Lexus automobiles. The vessel boasts a strong, pronounced bow, curved deck accents and accentuated aft hips that are reminiscent of the bold Lexus coupe designs.
Shigeki Tomoyama, Lexus executive vice president, said he wanted to “present a dream-like vision of the luxury lifestyle; one where the Lexus Yacht expands the potential of Lexus mobility to the ocean.” It looks like he definitely delivered because this yacht is tremendously opulent inside and out. Lexus global president Yoshihiro Sawa said he hopes that the LY 650 helps the company “explore new ways to deliver innovative and amazing experiences for our guests.”
Prices and other technical specs were not divulged yet. The Lexus LY 650 will officially debut in the second half of 2019, so until then we can drool over these magnificent photos of the luxury yacht.
