Looking to get some last-minute shopping in before the holidays and the year ends? Well, look no further than this hand-picked collection of the best men’s everyday carry essentials of the year. I have carefully chosen this capsule to include gear, apparel, and gadgets that can be used in everyday life. To purchase any of the products below just follow the links throughout this article. Let’s check it out!
First up today is the Horween Leather Chronograph Watch ($108) which is a custom Horween leather strap modification on the classic Timex Weekender. This gorgeous leather strap is handmade in Florida and the beauty of this watch is it can be worn every day across all of your styles and outfits.
The Dr. Martens 1460 Wintergrip Fleece Leather Boots ($170) pictured here are in a ‘Cocoa + Dark Brown Snowplow’ colorway but they also come in an all-black version. Their Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with the brand’s signature welt stitch and it features DM’s new hybrid WinterGrip sole for the best traction around.
The Relwen Windzip Popover ($218) is one of my favorite layers for cool and cold weather. It features a breathable but water-resistant exterior that you can wear year-round but bundle with other clothes throughout the year. The exterior’s made from a nylon and spandex blend and it is stuffed with a dense 60 gram down alternative filling. This really is just a stylish sweater option that you can wear on a lot of different occasions.
You can pair that sweater with the Flint and Tinder 365 Pants ($98) which comes in six different colors and are perfect everyday pants. Even if jeans are your preferred style you’re going to love how these chinos frame your lower half. And they’re sold in every length x waist configuration you’re looking for.
Next up we have the Leatherman Topo Skeletool ($79). This is an ultra-light model (only 5oz) so it won’t weigh your pockets down and in addition to pliers, cutters, screwdrivers, and more it features a 420HC Combo Knife Knife, one of the best blades around. I’ve been a brand loyalist with Leatherman since my parents gave me my first Leatherman back in the Cub Scouts. They are built to last a lifetime if you treat them right and I wouldn’t trust any other brand to make me a multi-tool. Also, you cannot beat that price. This is a true multi-tool and one you can carry in conjunction with a knife because it provides so much value.
The Hardin Carabiner by The James Brand ($40) is a particularly excellent example of that brand’s impeccable craftsmanship and design. It is drop-forged for consistency and superior strength and the dual compartment design enables you to keep your keys + other items securely attached. It is constructed out of aerospace-grade 6061 aluminum that’s both lightweight and crazy strong.
Next, we have the Tanner Goods Journeyman Card Wallet ($65) in ‘Cognac’ leather. I love this slim-profile 3.5oz premium tooling leather wallet with four card slots and a large central pocket for cash. This is made right here in the USA. It also comes in ‘Saddle Tan’ leather and a few other colorways if you’re looking to match it to your favorite belt or boots.
Here we’ve got Bellroy Micro Pen ($19). This handy pen is cased in durable ceramic anodized aluminum, writes with a ballpoint pen, and comes with a refillable blank ink cartridge. This is ideal for tossing in your backpack and/or car and it will always be there when you need it.
We round it out with the Jaybird Vista Earthproof Wireless Headphones (SALE $149, usually $180) in black. These earbuds have been overhauled to meet the military’s MIL-STD 810G requirements. If they’re rugged enough for the troops they’re good enough for you, right? In order to receive the MIL-STD 810G certification the ‘Earthproof’ Vistas had to endure ‘repeated shock, vibration, drop and crush tests, as well as withstanding tropical humidity, hurricane-force water and desert sandstorm conditions.’
Last up is the Aer Fit Pack 2 Backpack ($135) which is an all-time favorite of mine. I’ve had an Aer Fit Pack 2 for years and I’ve traveled the world with it. It has a super handy zippered pocket at the bottom for your shoes as well as a massive central compartment. I often use this as my carry-on bag for flights. It also has a laptop sleeve and pockets throughout for everything you need to store.
