The time is here, the mission’s clear: crank up the madness this March to levels that can only be reached through the winner-take-all $1 million March Madness Survivor Pool from Splash Sports. If you’re reading this, then chances are you understand the fundamentals of how survivor pools work but let’s take a moment to appreciate how this $1 million plays out.

Step 1: buy-in.
Step 2: Make your first pick. If they win, you advance to the next round but you *cannot* pick that team again in the tournament. For days 7/8 entrants will pick 2 teams.
Step 3: Keeping winning.
Step 4: Profit?

Splash Sports, the owners of RunYourPool and OfficeFootballPool, have somehow figured out a way to make March Madness more fun by adding the Survivor element into things. I’m fresh off NFL survivor pools for the regular season and for the Playoffs and can honestly say that survivor pools scratch and itch I don’t get from regular DFS or fantasy sports.

The entry fee is $100. It is winner-take-all which means when the final team is crowned champion at the Alamadome in San Antonio on April 7th one entrant will win $1 million.

Multiple entries are allowed, up to 150. So if you are eager to keep picking and want to hedge your strategy, that is certainly something to consider.

Deadlines for entries are March 20th at 10 PM.

Losses, ties, and missed/forgotten picks all result in elimination. If you run out of teams to pick, you will be eliminated. So that is something that must be considered when making your choices. And if everyone is busted before the championship.
