For those who can handle the extra heat, hot sauce is a go to condiment for any meal. The sweat on your forehead and extra kick with every bite, it doesn’t get better than that. But have you ever considering spicing up your hot sauce selection?

Everyone knows the classic hot sauces by now. You’ve seen them at your local diner and chain grocery stores. You’ve probably even had it with your eggs each morning for the past week. Doesn’t that thin, vinegary chili flavor get boring? I’d say so.

Introducing Merfs Condiments, a spicy condiment company specializing in hot sauce and wing sauce that is changing the narrative around what hot sauce can be. A big way they’re doing that is by incorporating fruit into everything they make. The result is hot sauce that is texturally interesting with unique flavor combinations you can’t get anywhere else. Bet you didn’t think hot sauce could get this diverse.

The CEO and president puts her taste buds and body on the line every day, from trying out new super hot chilis to an occasional recipe fluke: there’s nothing she’s afraid to try. Now that’s a condiment company whose flavors I can trust.

What is Merfs Condiments?

Merfs manufactures, sells and distributes a diversified portfolio of high-quality, shelf-stable spicy foods across the United States and Canada. Merfs’ sauces are vegan, gluten free, preservative free, and sugar free. Using the very best all natural and fresh ingredients, Merfs is trying to bring new, bold flavors to mealtime.

Let’s go back to where it all began. A southerner from the gulf coast of Louisiana, Kelly Schexnaildre always had a passion for exceptional food and the experience and community it offers. During the summer of 2012, a buddy gave Kelly half a bushel of peaches. Instead of making the traditional peach items, like a preserves or pie, Kelly decided she was going to try peach habanero hot sauce. Lo and behold, Kelly had a real knack for hot sauces. Her friends and family couldn’t get enough!

Fresh Fruity Flavors

In January of 2014, Merfs Condiments came to fruition. In the seven years since, Merfs has not stopped experimenting and delivering bold, new flavors.

For those who swear by green sauce when it comes to condiments, Merfs’ Electric Lime sauce is a must try with its roasted jalapeños and fresh lime juice. And even if you’re not a fan of green sauce, don’t worry because you might’ve just found your new favorite condiment. Most other green sauces are made with tomatillos, which Kelly admittedly isn’t a fan of. Whereas Merfs’ Electric Lime hot sauce delivers a different, savory flavor that works well with anything.

Merfs has also created a line of sriraches; each of the three using fruit instead of sugar for sweetener. That’s three fruity options to choose from: pineapple, cherry peach, and mixed berry. I doubt you’ve tasted anything like these before.

And you can’t have a conversation about hot sauces without talking about chipotle. Merfs agrees, but makes sure to offer a new take on the sauce we know all too well. Venturing away from that traditional dark and smokey flavor, Merfs once again incorporates a fruity element to spice things up.
