The OnePlus 6 might be the best smartphone you’ve never heard of. The relatively affordable smartphone is from OnePlus, the Chinese phone manufacturer that has the motto of “Never Settle.” Many call OnePlus smartphones “flagship killers” because they are not Samsung or Apple, but are able to offer comprable phones with the same features at much cheaper prices. The latest model is the the OnePlus 6 and the upcoming handset that debuts on May 22 is already receiving rave reviews.
The OnePlus is being called the “affordable flagship,” “still the best deal in town,” and a “contender for smartphone of the year.” The OnePlus 6 will also be available in a limited edition Avengers package that is simply awesome, but you probably can’t get it.
The OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition comes in a Kevlar textured or carbon fiber-style glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Karbon Black phone has a gold Avengers logo on the back. The “Avengers Alliance” package comes with a gold Captain America medal alert slider that attaches to the phone plus an awesome Iron Man-shaped protective case. There are also multiple Avengers wallpapers to choose from.
The specs are the same on the Avengers variant as the top-of-the-line OnePlus 6 and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. The phone boasts a 6.2-inch FHD+ screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 3,300 mAh battery, and a 20MP camera. The price for the Avengers OnePlus 6 is roughly $660, but it is currently only slated to be sold in China and India. That’s a bummer. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of trying to import one of these phones, you may just want to buy an Avengers case for your current phone.
