These ‘Original 6’ Jerseys Are Straight Fire, But You’ll Never Own One Because I’m Buying Them All For Myself

by 4 years ago

Paying homage to the NHL’s ‘Original 6’ comes the ‘Concepts x Mitchell & Ness Original 6 Collection‘ that’s set to debut at the cncpts store in Manhattan tomorrow. Located at 225 Hudson, the ‘Original 6’ collection will go on sale at the cncpts storefront tomorrow at noon. Don’t bother making the trip to the store though, because it’s just a few blocks from my apartment and I plan on buying everyone of the ‘Original 6’ jerseys for myself.

There are also hats going on sale alongside the ‘Original 6’ jerseys:

So what’s the story behind the sickest jerseys you’ve ever seen? Here’s the info from cncpts’ blog:

Concepts joins the storied Mitchell & Ness brand to create their latest collection. Putting a unique spin on the hockey jersey, Concepts chose to use basketball jersey featuring mesh printed logos of the Original Six hockey teams.

While the NHL consisted of ten teams prior to 1920, the Great Depression forced many teams to break away, leaving just six teams by the end of World War II. These six teams, the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Black Hawks have each been featured in the collection.

Each jersey uses knit ribbing as well as co-branded exterior woven labels, in addition to a championship woven label on the interior that marks each teams’ respective championship years.

In addition to the jerseys, Concepts and Mitchell & Ness have created a set of mesh bucket hats that feature an embroidered patch logo for each team. Additionally, a Concepts loop label will be featured on the exterior, with woven co-branded labels on the inside.

The entire collection will be available at Concepts New York at 225 Hudson Street starting at noon on FRI 6/5 – SUN 6/7. Follow @cncptsNYC for further updates.

Again, even if these are the greatest jerseys you’ve ever seen in your life, do NOT bother showing up at the store because I plan on buying them all with my endless blogger wealth.
