Sony Releases Translucent 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro And It Is Magnificent

Sony introduced the PlayStation video game console on December 3, 1994, and has revolutionized gaming ever since. Nearly 24 years later, Sony has sold over 525 million PlayStation systems worldwide. To celebrate the tremendous sales achievement, Sony is releasing the magnificent 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro.

This special edition PS4 Pro features a translucent dark blue case that allows you to take a peek at the electronic guts. The limited edition unit also comes with a commemorative copper plate on the front, plus the limited edition serial number etched on.

This gaming console comes with a matching DualShock 4 controller, PlayStation Camera, vertical stand, and mono headset.

Sony will only manufacture a symbolic 50,000 of these special units worldwide. The 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro will retail for $499.99. The 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro is $100 more than a standard PS4 Pro, but the upcoming special model will boast a massive 2TB hard drive, twice as large as the regular PS4 Pro.

The 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro will first go on sale online at participating e-commerce retailers on August 24th. The limited edition PS4 Pro will then be available at retail stores starting in early September. Sony did not list which retailers will offer the 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro.

You’ll be able to purchase the controller individually as well as the 500 Million Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset for $99.99.

Whether this is more gorgeous than the Limited Edition Marvel Spider-Man PS4 Pro Bundle is definitely up for debate. But this is the greatest translucent gaming console since the clear Nintendo N64 that came out in the ’90s.
