New Line Of Performance Shirts And Shorts Made From Recycled Fishing Nets Is A Must-Have For Summer

Southern Tide x OCEARCH Repreve Recycled Fishing Net Plastic Apparel

Southern Tide

I’ve got some pretty cool apparel news for all you bros out there who are living that tidal life. Southern Tide has partnered with marine conservation and research group OCEARCH to launch a limited-edition line of apparel made from recycled fishing nets.

More accurately, Southern Tide and OCEARCH have both partnered on the designs while working with REPREVE, the world’s leading recycled fiber, to construct these awesome performance shirts and shorts. It’s estimated that plastic constitutes 90% of all the trash floating in the ocean, that 1 in 4 fish in the ocean have plastic inside of them, and by 2050 there could be more plastic in the ocean than fish (in terms of total weight). Sound alarming? It is, but you can help raise awareness by checking out this new collection.

This unique line of Repreve performance gear from Southern Tide x OCEARCH certainly won’t stop the flood of plastic into the ocean but will help raise awareness. Beyond that, these are some stylish and comfortable designs that are perfect for rocking on the boat and to the beach bar all Summer long. It’s time to start putting some thought into your warm-weather wardrobe as Spring shower turns into hot Summer days throughout the nation. Let’s check out the clothes before I ramble on any further (you can shop the full collection here):
