This past weekend, my wife and I took a trip to New York to visit my parents and see My Chemical Romance at Citi Field. It’s become somewhat of an annual tradition to venture east to see concerts at the Mets’ ballpark with my mother, the concert fiend. Between several summer shows and torturous home games for her beloved, haggard team, my mom remarked, “I spend an awful lot of time in this stadium.” That’s what I call a love of the game. For the sneakerheads out there, purchasing the re-released Air Jordan 6s in black and white is really showing love for the shoe game, and it’s not even a fraction of the pain of being a Mets fan.

If the Jordan 4s represent the Bulls’ first time as contenders and the 5s represent the cusp of greatness, then the 6s are the final culmination. After all, these are the shoes that Jordan wore for his first title win in ’91 against the Lakers. Plus, the black-and-white “Oreo” colorway is so timeless and versatile that you’ll want to wear them all the time.
