Little Book Chapter 2 ‘Noe Simple Task’ Blended Whiskey

My dudes, I haven’t been as excited for any whiskey release of 2018 as I was about this. Last year’s ‘Little Book’ inaugural release from 8th generation Beam distiller Freddie Noe was my favorite whiskey of 2017. So I had high hopes for the second expression.
Little Book Chapter 2 ‘Noe Simple Task’ from Freddie Noe was the 29th out of 40 recipes that master distiller Freddie Noe tinkered with. It was inspired by the floral and fruit flavors found in Canadian whiskeys which he took and blended with Beam’s Kentucky straight rye whiskey. The blend consists of 8-year-old Kentucky straight rye whiskey, 13-year-old Canadian rye that’s been aged in a re-charred barrel, and an exquisite 40-year-old Canadian whiskey which was aged to perfection in a once-used bourbon barrel. It has a long finish with lingering spic notes of caramel.
