12 ‘Things We Want’ This Week: Traeger Timberline Smokers, Survival Kits, Flasks, And More!
Alright, bros, it’s time again for the weekly ‘Things We Want’ feature. It’s a collection of the hottest gear I’ve come across this week. Ranging from items I desperately want in my life to things I’ll never be able to afford, I try and include a cross section of everything here in the ‘Things We Want‘ roundup. If you know of a product that you think should be featured in my weekly Gear Guide then feel free to hit me up via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This week Traeger unveiled their new Timberline Series of smokers. Right out of the gate these are the most advanced smokers on the market, and have raised the bar for what a smoker should be.
They are fully programmable, and within Traeger’s smartphone app (iOS and Android) you can set repeat cooking cycles, monitor temperatures and food progress right from your phone. The Timberline Series have the most grilling surface of any smokers in their class. Simply put, the Traeger Timberline Series is the best line of smokers ever built.
The Traeger Timberline Series features two new flagship smokers. The Timberline 850 will run $1699 and the Timberline 1300 will retail for $1999, but you get what you pay for and these are the Ferrari’s of the wood-fire smoker world.
Not interested in carrying around a full survival kit this Spring or Summer? You can add these 550 paracord survival laces to your boots. They come with a built in fire-starter. The lace tips are Ferro Rods and there’s a serrated striker tool that comes with them. The laces themselves are 550 paracord and in a survival situation have unlimited use.
I love the look of a good canvas rucksack. This vintage-looking canvas backpack has a slot for your laptop and an overwhelming amount of storage in addition to that. Just look at this thing, it’s a beauty! Also, it’s only $35 right now which is an absolute steal.
