Conor McGregor just knocked out Jose Aldo in one punch to become the UFC Champion at 194, making him the most celebrated fighter in the world.
But well before McGregor was thrust into the spotlight and became a certified A-list celebrity, he fell in love with Ireland native Dee Devlin.
McGregor has been dating the 28-year-old for eight years and is incredibly thankful to her for sticking with him through the dark times.
McGregor told the Mirror:
“My girlfriend worked very hard throughout the years and stuck by me when I had essentially absolutely nothing.
I only had a dream that I was telling her.
“For me to be able to take her out of work, give her everything she’s ever wanted and to travel the world with her fills me with pride. It keeps me going.”
