Any Bro home for the summer or running their parents HBO Go account has access to arguably the best premium channel available. HBO broadcasts some of the best premium series on television. Much like any self respecting Bro I was and still am a huge fan of Entourage. Since it’s final episode no new HBO series caught my attention the way Entourage did. That quickly changed summer 2012 with the premier of The Newsroom.
The Newsroom is an American television political drama series created and principally written by Aaron Sorkin that premiered on HBO on June 24, 2012. The series chronicles the behind-the-scenes events at the fictional Atlantis Cable News (ACN) channel. It features an ensemble cast including Jeff Daniels as anchor Will McAvoy, who, together with his staff set out to put on a news show “in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles and their own personal entanglements”.
So where do the babes promised in the title come in? What are the character names of the bombshells from both Entourage and The Newsroom? That’s right Sloan.
Emmanuelle Chrigui – Sloan McQuewick
The Canadian (French, Moroccan, Israeli) Emmanuelle Chrigui plays Sloan McQuewick in Entourage. Sloan is the daughter of Ari’s former partner Terrance McQuewick and is E’s fiance.
Olivia Munn – Sloan Sabbith
The American (Chinese, German, Irish) Olivia Munn plays Sloan Sabbith in The Newsroom. Sloan is an Economist and Senior Financial Reporter for ACN’s News Night.
Much like the classic Kelly Kapowski (Tiffany Amber Thiessen) Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel) debate every bro has a different opinion. I’m all for 90’s Kelly Kapowski, but 2013 Danielle Fishel. In Sloan vs Sloan I am 100% Olivia Munn’s Sloan Sabbith, so Olivia if you’re reading this, call me.
