Just when I start saying that Kendall Jenner and her sister Kylie are the only two people in their family that I actually approve of (reasons why here) she goes and deletes her Instagram account.
Although, I suppose in a way, that is yet another reason why I like her and her sister way more than the rest of her family. Hell, if she’s willing to delete her goddamn Instagram, aka the lifeblood of her older sister, then how bad can she really be?
As for why she deleted her Instagram, here’s what she had to say to Ellen Degeneres on Wednesday’s show…
“It’s so crazy to me that it even became huge news like that. Like, I have no idea how that [happened],” Jenner told Ellen DeGeneres of the buzz surrounding her absence from social media. “I mean, like, I guess I didn’t expect it. I also took my Twitter off my phone. Like, I didn’t delete my Twitter entirely, but I took the app off my phone, so I had no idea anyone was even talking about it. I honestly didn’t even think anyone would care. My friends kept texting me and my family members and I was like, ‘How does everyone know?’ And they kept sending me links to, like, CNN and all these things and I was like, ‘Why is this even that big of a deal?’” she recounted. “It’s so crazy.”
“I just wanted to detox. I felt like I just wanted a little bit of a break. I’m always on it … I would wake up in the morning and I would look at it first thing, I would go to bed and it was the last thing I would look at,” Jenner told DeGeneres, 58. “I felt a little too dependent on it, so I kinda wanted to take a minute to detox.”
However, the social media maven assured the talk show host that she will eventually return to the app. “I’ll be back. I’ll come back. It’s been two days!” she said with a laugh. “Withdrawals are starting to occur.”
Thankfully for us, other people she works with still do have their Instagram accounts and one of them is La Perla, a clothing and lingerie company that Jenner recently did a photo shoot for. A VERY SEXY photo shoot. (The video below is especially nice.)

Just one question: If she is doing ad campaigns like this one and she don’t have an Instagram account, does that mean we can’t call Kendall Jenner an “Instagram Model” anymore?
