On the fateful day of December 31, 1999, R&B extraordinaire Sisqo dropped the “Thong Song” and it became an instant classic. The catchy ditty based on the wedgie-inducing clothing hit #1 on the Billboard Rhythmic top 40 chart and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Now Sisqo is back with a new “Thong Song” song and music video, minus his eye-catching aluminum foil-colored hair, but plenty of beautiful women wearing thongs.
The reboot/reissue/remix of the classic 2000s jam gets an updated 2017 tropical EDM vibe thanks to Norwegian production trio JCY. The new “Thong Song” music video features stunning bikini-clad models playing beach volleyball, stunning bikini-clad models jumping on trampolines, stunning bikini-clad models at a roller rink in Miami, and stunning bikini-clad models eating potato chips called “Thong Chips,” which doesn’t sound sanitary whatsoever.

“I’ve been asked so many times over the years to make a new version of ‘Thong Song,’ and I have declined every time until I heard the new version that JCY did,” Sisqo said. “I thought it was dope and figured maybe it was time to put some new rims on the Bugatti.”
