I can’t count how many times I went to bed as a kid with both hands wrapped around my stuffed animal pretending it was the beautiful, elegant Wendy Peffercorn as I drifted off to sleep. Wendy Peffercorn was the defining figure from my childhood when I realized I was a heterosexual. Topanga Lawrence was just added reinforcement. And I realized I was straight in the cartoon realm when I had the urge to do the deed with Patty Mayonnaise.
I’d have to agree with my bro Squints Palladorous who so eloquently said of Peffercorn: “lotiony, oily, lotiony, oily, lotiony.” So much oil, so much lotion, so much sex appeal.

Peffercorn, whose real name is Marley Shelton, has been in numerous films since her breakout Sandlot performance–namely appearing in films like Sin City, Scream 4, and Bubble Boy. She made her transition to TV shows by playing Kate in Mad Men.
