Bible school admits using Hitler quote in ads was ‘probably a poor decision’

via Twitter

Who better to promote bible study than the Fuhrer? Probably, everyone else in the history of the world.

An Alabama-based bible school admitted that it was “probably a poor decision” to select a quote from Adolf Hitler for use on a billboard supporting children’s education. I’m not sure they understand what the word “probably” means.

The large sign depicted a diverse group of smiling kids and incongruously declared, “He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future,” attributing the quote to Hitler. Hitler said the phrase in 1935 during a speech at the Reichsparteitag in order to encourage young people to join the Hitler Youth.

A better Hitler quote for a bible school to use would have been “And a child shall lead them…into the ovens.”

Too much? Fine. I probably apologize.
