Last year, more than a quarter of a million men got this cosmetic enhancement. All signs point to the procedure becoming more popular with dudes in the next few years. What is it?

Botox. Oh, sorry, it needs a catchier name because the news.

Brotox.”

According to researchers with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the number of men getting Botox jumped 10 percent last year to more than 300,000, and the new trend is called “Brotox.”

“Botox did not hurt at all. It’s just a pin prick in your forehead,” one man said who didn’t want to be identified. “Any man’s afraid he’s gonna get bumped by somebody younger in business or personal life too. I think once he gets over the stigma of it being something feminine, I could see more men being drawn to it.”

So why the upswing of big pricks getting little pricks? Most men claim it’s for work. According to Dr. Sutton Graham, “bring up specifically their employment and how it affects them in their job with their co-workers and with clients and people they meet.”

While that might be part of the issue, the other part is just plain vanity. It sucks to get old but sucks even harder to look old. I’m sure the number of men getting the enhancement will grow with each year until something better/safer comes along.

I’m sure more men would do it now if it wasn’t called “brotox.”
