It appears we need to have an honest, frank discussion about tip-shaming—an internet phenomenon wherein a server posts pics of crappy tips they’ve received. The latest recipient of tip-shaming was Drew Brees, who left $3 for a waitress at a California restaurant. She was later fired after making the receipt public.

Now, Drew Brees seems like a stand up guy, a guy who doesn’t stiff hard working Americans. Is it possible he’s cheap? Sure, I don’t know him personally, neither do most of you. But there’s a more logical explanation here right? One that doesn’t involve Drew Brees as the villain.
Simply put, Carissa probably sucks at her job, Carissa probably didn’t deserve a tip, Carissa was probably smoking out back when Drew’s kid wanted a refill on his Coke.
As a society we need to stop this nonsense of tip expectation after crappy service.
