This supercut of movie references on The Simpsons is amazing. Archer gets praised for its obscure pop culture references, but The Simpsons was at it before Woodhouse changed Archer’s first diaper. This is only the first five seasons and it’s already 20 minutes long.
Some of the movies are more quiet homage than overt reference, but they’re all spectacular. The Red Baloon? I just thought Maggie was trying to fly so I started singing “99 Red Ballons.” The folks over at Next Movie outdid themselves on this one.
