A 9-year-old girl taking shooting instructions accidentally shot her instructor IN THE HEAD.
“Investigators have determined a 9-year-old girl accidentally shot the instructor in the head,” said a Mohave County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson. The young girl was with her parents during the time of the shooting. The family was passing through Dolan Springs, Arizona, while on vacation.
Arizona law states that a person must be at least 18 years old to operate a firearm but “but those laws do not apply on private property or if the minor is accompanied by a parent or a certified shooting instructor acting with the consent of the child’s parent.”
The 39-year-old instructor was airlifted to medical center in Las Vegas and his current condition is unknown.
