This list of NFL players with a torn ACL this year is astounding

This past weekend we saw both Reggie Wayne and Sam Bradford have their seasons ended with a torn ACL. What’s even more shocking than that is that they are the 37th and 38th players to have that happen to them this season.

How do we know this? Because enterprising Reddit user InheritTheWind is compiling a list. And this doesn’t even count other players who have suffered injuries to their knees that don’t involve the ACL (see Cushing, Brian).

Is there something with the fields causing this or is there something else causing all of these injuries? As of right now, no one seems to really know, but this list is starting to get really long – and we’re not even halfway through the season
