ESPN close to stealing Renee Young from WWE

Renee Young might be changing her work address in Connecticut. The gorgeous WWE announcer is possibly in talks with ESPN.

According to Wrestling Observer, the Worldwide Leader is crushing on Renee Young’s on-camera work with the WWE and wants to snatch her away.

ESPN is expected to make a major play for Renee Paquette, 29, who is Renee Young in WWE. She has impressed a lot of the networks with her smoothness in her work with WWE since coming from The Score where she was one of the hosts of Right After Wrestling, a Raw post-game show.

Renee Young’s wrestling background and life-long fandom made her a natural fit when joining the WWE back in 2012 but she wouldn’t be the first superstar to jump ship to ESPN — Jonathan Coachman became a Sportscenter anchor back in 2008.

The question is where does Renee Young fit into ESPN programming? Is she a Sportsnation host? Do they have another show in mind? Maybe ESPN is considering WWE-centric programming now that WWE has a 24-hour channel devoted to product. We’ll see soon enough.
