Star Wars has new life thanks to Walt and his mousehouse buying Lucasfilm. Not only are new movies on the horizon, but production on new animated series titled Star Wars Rebels has begun.
The action-filled series is set between the events of Episode III and IV — an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen. Star Wars Rebels takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.
It is coincidence that this news comes at the same time as Star Trek introducing the first officially licensed beer? Yes, 100% coincidence. I just wanted an excuse to link to a post about beer.
I wish I had never heard about about this new animated series. It’s not that I don’t want to watch it; the problem is that it’s not hitting TV for another 16 months. Someone get me a roofie.
