This sudden resurgence of Jean-Claude Van Damme into pop culture is refreshing.
Not long ago, the “Muscles From Brussels” dominated box offices, magazine covers and Hollywood starlets. Then he kind of disappeared. Thankfully, movies like The Expendables 2 and TV commercials for GoDaddy put the martial arts star back on the lips of the general public.
In the past few months, Van Damme has been doing his signature splits all over the place. Now his legs and iron crotch has dominated deep space. Van Damme’s splits have conquered zero gravity.
Take that Bullock. At least Van Damme returned from his trip to space alive.
Yeah, Bullock dies in Gravity. Maybe she doesn’t. I don’t know, I didn’t see the movie. If she wins an Oscar on Sunday, she probably died. Whatever.
