Video game news today includes free tickets to the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2 from Gamestop.

In other gaming news — Mario Kart 8 bundles coming to the US, trailers for Child of Light and Darkwood and the rise of non-violent games.

Free tix to Amazing Spider-Man 2 at GameStop

GameStop today announced a partnership with Activision and Sony Pictures. On April 29th, to hype the upcoming blockbuster flickThe Amazing Spider-Man 2, all of the U.S. GameStop locations will give gamers who purchase The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the video game two free movie tickets to see the second Amazing Spider-Man movie.

Awesome news for fans of the the video game and the movies but it’s a first come, first serve event. Get to your local store early on the twenty-ninth. Web sling, don’t walk, to your local GameStop before all the free movie tix are gone.

Mario Kart 8 bundles

News from Gamespot says that Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundles are confirmed for the UK. Nintendo officially announced special Mario and Luigi 32GB system bundles launching May 30. Both bundles include a 32GB system, a racing wheel, GamePad protector, Mario or Luigi hat, Wii Remote Plus, and a Mario Kart 8 game guide.

Is the US next? Gamespot reached out to Nintendo for comment, but so far, no word.

Child of Light trailer hits web

Kotaku has the official Child of Light trailer.

Child of Light is the transformation journey of a young princess who awakes in the world of Lemuria. She comes face-to-face with her destiny during an epic quest to find the Sun, the Moon and the Stars which were all stolen by the evil Dark Queen.

The Japanese-style role-play game, developed by Ubisoft Montreal, hit store shelves on April 30th.

Titanfall’s New War Games Map

Respawn Entertainment revealed PAX East that Titanfall’s Expedition DLC will feature three all-new maps for Xbox One’s, Xbox 360’s, and PC’s. Expedition DLC is set to arrive in May but IGN has more info about the maps.

Swampland, Runoff, and War Games will be the name of the three maps and IGN has a first-look at the War Games map.

Epic working on high-end console game

According to CGV, Epic Games has three games in development. One of those titles, Fortnite, is a mobile game and is the furthest along of the three new titles.

“It’s going to push next-generation graphics as you’d always expect Epic to do,” Epic Games founder Tim Sweeney in a recent interview.
