At some point we’re all too old to walk around with a lollipop in our mouths, but you can suck a little longer if that lolli is made of vodka. Here’s how to create your own boozy candy.
The obvious issue is, “doesn’t the alcohol burn off?” Well, yes. It happens much slower than people think though. For some reason, when it comes to alcohol people assume that the second it hits the boiling point all the alcohol disappears. When was the last time you boiled water and it was instantly gone? You can boil a substance containing vodka for an hour and it still retains 25% of the alcohol.
I’m going to try this with Three Olives Loopy once I get my hands on some powdered glucose. I’ll report back on how it goes.
