You will not believe the reason a California man is suing McDonald’s for $1.5 Million

America, birthplace of freedom, home of the brave and motherland to frivolous lawsuits. In what may be the most insane and impractical lawsuit in the history of mankind, Webster Lucas is suing McDonald’s because he only received ONE napkin during his January 29th visit. After ordering a Quarter Pounder Deluxe at the McDonald’s in Pacoima, CA Lucas asked an employee for more napkins, but his request was denied because the manager said he had already received some. Lucas responded to the manager by saying,

“I should have went to eat at the Jack-in-the-Box because I didn’t come here to argue over napkins. I came here to eat.”

Lucas, who is Black, claims that the manager, Mexican-American, mumbled something about “you people.” Lucas emailed the general manager to complain about the harsh conditions and was offered free burgers for his caustic pain and suffering. The fatty peace offering was deemed insulting by Lucas. The disparaging words and the lack of paper product compelled Lucas to file a lawsuit against the fast food giant for $1.5 million. Yes $1.5 million, not $1.50. In the lawsuit Lucas claims that he can not work because of the “undue mental anguish” from the suffering resulting from the napkin fiasco. This lawsuit would be a little more justifiable if the McDonad’s forgot to give Mr. Lucas his straw. Hell, I’d understand if he burnt the joint down if they forgot to include a straw and he had a long drive ahead of him.
