Unlike Florida and the Gulf Coast, Hawaii isn’t used to getting slammed by hurricanes. Two hurricanes — Hurricanes Iselle and Julio — are barreling towards the Hawaiian Islands, expected to say aloha with a one-two punch on the Big Island with wind speeds of 75 mph. So how do Hawaiians prepare for a hurricane? Much like their Gulf Coast brethren, actually: Stockpiling beer, waxing down the longboard, and making sure you have enough Maui Waui to get through the next few weeks.
