This one is for all the parents who don’t think they should anchor their children’s furniture to the wall.
Every time I buy something, even adult furniture, it comes with a small bag of shit that I’m supposed to use to anchor the item to the wall. Whether it is a dresser or some other fancy cabinet my wife bought, I never do it. Well, except for the floor mirror we have, can’t risk those seven bad years of luck, ya know? Also, a mirror that is leaning against a wall is much easier to tip over than a dresser. Or so we all think. After watching these twin bros take down the one in the video with relative ease, I am sure as shit anchoring any dresser I put in a kid’s room from here on out.
Luckily, for the little fella who go crushed, his brother has an extra gear. Kid summoned some serious big boy strength and got that fucking dresser off his brother like a champ. Probably saved his life. And that’s definitely something he shouldn’t let his bro forget. I know I would always play the “Remember that time I saved your life? I could have let you die. Don’t forget that” card. It’s a helluva card to play.
Here’s what the boys’ parents had to say about the situation:
“We were hesitant to post this video initially,” Ricky Shoff, the boys’ father told CNN, “but a lot of parents have probably made the same mistake that we made, (they) don’t have their furniture secure or bolted to a wall.”
To be honest, if I never saw this video I would probably have just kept on neglecting the anchors sent with my furniture. So…thank you?
