Cults are freakin’ scary. I think there’s an entire generation of kids coming of age who don’t remember the The Heaven’s Gate cult in California who committed mass suicide because they thought there was an alien space craft following the Hale–Bopp Comet. Just look at *cough cough* Scientology.
