ACTIVE SHOOTER Near Polling Place Kills One And Injures Several Others – Area On Lockdown

On Tuesday there were at least four people shot near a polling place in California and one person was killed in an attack. The shooting happened in Azusa, California and police are searching for the heavily armed individual.

Voters inside the Memorial Park North Recreation Center were told to stay inside because it was an active shooter situation that happened after 2 p.m. in the residential neighborhood.

One voter told CNN that a “massive shooting is happening and the police have told us to stay indoors. We are currently on locked down.”

There were about 30 people inside the polling station and about 15-20 children were evacuated from a gym.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Capt. Jeff Scroggin said the suspect was heavily armed.

“This is a very volatile and critical situation,” he said.

Azusa police urged residents to stay out of the area and asked all residents to shelter in place.
