Police in Lakeland, Florida are trying to solve a murder mystery. But this isn’t just any old murder mystery. This is an alligator murder mystery.
Residents called authorities after spotting what they thought was a gator swimming around Hunter Lake with a human body in its mouth.
Lakeland Police arrived and confirmed that, “Yep, that’s a gator with a human in its mouth.”
Said Sergeant Gary Gross to WFLA: “The officers got here and the alligator still had the person. He let the individual go, he is deceased, looks like this person may have been dead more than a day. We don’t want to speculate but I will say when the officer got here the alligator did a roll and had the person in contact with him.”
The body was recovered, but the gator is still on the loose. It’s currently unclear whether the gator actually killed the person, or merely grabbed a body that had somehow wound up in the lake. Authorities are hoping to trap it to determine exactly what happened.
Like I said. ALLIGATOR MURDER MYSTERY. So … who croco-dun it? Is he alli-guilty?
