A New Baby Budweiser Clydesdale Is In Town And He Better Make A Cameo At The Super Bowl

Yo, is this not the most adorable baby horse you’ve ever seen? His name is Mac, and he’s the newest Clydesdale to join the much-revered Budweiser stable at the Warm Springs Ranch in Missouri.

Not a bad gig, just roaming around with 160 other Clydesdales in the herd, and oh yeah, pulling some beer around town and starring in critically acclaimed television commercials come Super Bowl time.

Amazing to look at him now and know that he’s going to grow up to be a colossal beast one day. It’s the beer they put in the troughs, I hear.

I’m sure Budweiser’s Super Bowl commercials for this year were all but cut and printed when Mac was born on Tuesday, but man, it’d be awesome to see the little foal make a late cameo in one of them, or better yet, an appearance at the big game.

Here’s raising a glass to Mac tonight (and Anheuser-Busch’s press release, if you’re so interested)!

The Budweiser Clydesdales family welcomed its first foal of 2016 this week. Mac was born at Warm Springs Ranch Tuesday, joining Anheuser-Busch’s herd of 160+ Clydesdales.

Mac’s name is a nod to the iconic legacy of the Budweiser Clydesdales, the most macro of all icons, representing Budweiser’s quality for more than 80 years.

Mac will reside at Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville, Mo. while he learns the ins and outs of being a Budweiser Clydesdale. Welcome to the team, Mac!

The tradition of the Budweiser Clydesdales started in 1933 when they made their first-ever appearance as a gift from August A. Busch, Jr. and Adolphus Busch to their father in celebration of the repeal of Prohibition.

Be sure to follow the Warm Springs Ranch Facebook or Twitter pages to follow updates on Mac and his family.
