At some point in his life, Bill Gates will become the world’s first trillionaire. Arguably, the founder/CEO of Microsoft knows more about being successful than any man alive. In that past here at BroBible, I’ve made it a habit of sharing Bill Gates’ seasonal reading lists because he’s made a hobby out of sharing the books he thinks will lead to success.
In a recent interview with LinkedIn’s executive editor, Bill Gates opened up about the three areas of knowledge he believes are the most important for a person seeking riches and a life of success. Specifically, the NYPost claims these are the 3 areas of knowledge Bill Gates says you need in order to become rich. So, if that matters to you then you might want to sit up and take notice.
According to the software expert, you don’t need to be a complete computer whiz either, you just need a basic understanding of how math and science works.
Speaking to LinkedIn executive editor Daniel Roth, Gates said: “I do think of basic knowledge of the sciences, math skills, economics — a lot of careers in the future will be very demanding for those things.
“It’s not necessarily that you’ll be writing code, but you need to understand what can engineers do and what can they not do.”
Science. Math. Economics. The most successful man alive says you need a decent understanding of these three things in order to become successful.
I’m not encouraging you to run out today and start studying all three voraciously. But, if you’re lacking in any of those areas you might want to pick up a book and fill those gaps. What’s the worst that could happen?
