Alonzo Liverman, 29, of Daytona Beach was one of 10 men who were arrested for soliciting a prostitute in a reverse prostitution sting conducted by police. For some reason, Liverman thought to himself “Hmm, I have $0 and I want a prostitute. Maybe she’ll be okay with getting paid in lettuce,” and then went on his merry way to barter salad for sex. According to court documents obtained by The Smoking Gun,
The defendant, who was operating a bicycle contacted Officer [redacted]. Officer [redacted] asked the defendant, ‘Do you wanna go”? The defendant stated that he did not have any money. Officer [redacted] stated, “I’m hungry, you got food”? The defendant replied, “I got a salad”. Officer [redacted] replied, “I’ll give you a blow job for salad”…the defendant replied, “You ready to go”?
Police also arrested basketball player Tim Pickett, but no word yet on whether he tried to pay for sexual services with leafy greens. You can read the full story here.
