Meet The Lax Bro Who Ate A Slice Of Pizza Every Day For An Entire Year While Raising Money For A Tremendous Cause
Some people make healthy New Year’s Resolutions — Cut down on the booze, work out more, stop crushing McDonald’s at 3AM a couple nights a week. Not for Kyle Feeney, a Bucknell lacrosse Bro from Connecticut. Last year he made a New Year’s resolution to eat one slice of pizza every day for an entire year. He also pledged to document eating said slice of ‘za on Instagram. Here’s his first post:
Feeney is the subject of a Business Insider piece about his pizza-eating conquest. He tells Kate Taylor that the idea came while visiting friends in NYC:
“Every time I would come visit [New York City] I would end up eating pizza like three or four times over the weekend,” Feeney told Business Insider. “One thing led to another and the ‘pizzagram’ was born.”
Feeney, a huge Bro, decided to make his feat about more than just gooey slices of gluttony and funny Instagram videos, though. Over the course of the last year, his Team Pizza 365 GoFundMe page raised over $10,000 for Autism Speaks in honor of his cousin. Via:
Upon awakening in the early afternoon of January 1, 2015 I had an unsatisfiable craving for pizza. By the time the night was over, my friends and I had concocted a challenge that will in all likelihood result in my waist size growing. Everyday for the next 365 days, I will eat at least one slice of pizza. While some slices will be good, and others may be bad, all of them will literally be a slice of heaven. My goal is to raise $10,000 for Autism Speaks. If met, I will get a tattoo of a pizza slice while … you guessed it, eating a pizza slice. If by some divine miracle I raise more than the goal, I will add another slice to the pizza pie for every additional $10,000 raised. All of the proceeds will go to charity.
