You NEED To Listen To This Dad Straight Up Killing It With Unbelievable Renditions Of ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ And ‘Simple Man’

In less than a week, this dad from Texas racked up nearly four million views on YouTube for his absolutely extraordinary rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey.” The original country song was recorded by David Allan Coe and peaked at number 77 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1981. However, the song was popularized by covers by George Jones as well as Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake at the 2015 CMA Awards.

After his cover of “Tennessee Whiskey” went viral, the dad, who’s name is Kris Jones, pulled his van over in a church parking lot to thank everyone for the support.

“Thank you guys for all of the comments and prayers and likes and shares,” the man says. “I’m completely amazed, baffled, knocked off my feet that this thing has done what it’s done.”

He then murders his cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s classic rock hit “Simple Man.”

I’d imagine that he’ll be on “Ellen” next week where he will be given a well-deserved music contract.
