New DNC Leaks Of Questionable Relationships With Donors, Hacked Colin Powell Emails Call Trump A ‘National Disgrace’

More DNC leaks came out on Tuesday night and there were some interesting points of note. Potentially damning documents were released that were stolen by hacker Guccifer 2.0, who has previously hacked the Democratic National Committee and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. The latest DNC documents offered an inside look at the Democratic National Committee’s finances, donor information, and their network infrastructure.

Guccifer shared over 500MB of documents that detailed 100,000 DNC donors including their donations. It could be a mere coincidence, but those who donated a substantial amount of money seemed to receive senior diplomatic or political positions after they made contributions.

According to the leaks, Pamela Hamamoto donated $605,000 to the DNC and is currently the Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva.

Crystal Nix-Hines donated $600,000 to the DNC and was nominated by President Obama to the position of United States Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization with the rank of Ambassador.

Julius Genachowski donated $3,494,919 to the DNC and served as Chairman of the FCC from 2009 to 2013.

Jane Hartley donated $605,000 to DNC and was nominated to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco.

Some are suggesting that the DNC runs a pay-to-play organization that sells political influence and federal jobs.

The DNC issued a statement which condemned the cyber attacks and blamed Russia as well as linking Donald Trump to the leaks.

“The DNC is the victim of a crime — an illegal cyberattack by Russian state-sponsored agents who seek to harm the Democratic Party and progressive groups in an effort to influence the presidential election,” interim DNC Chair Donna Brazile said in a statement Tuesday. “We have been anticipating that an additional batch of documents stolen by Russian agents would be released. Our legal team is now in the process of reviewing these private documents, and attempting to confirm their authenticity, as it is common for Russian hackers to forge documents.”

Brazile also said that people should not download the documents because of no other reason than they have “potential malware risks.”

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein called the “corruption” by the DNC “staggering.”

Leaked emails from former Secretary of State Colin Powell were also released on Tuesday. The emails were revealed by the website DCLeaks.com.

Powell deemed the birther movement, which Donald Trump was one of the most vocal advocates in questioning the birthplace of Barack Obama, as “racist.” In personal emails, the four-star general called Trump a “national disgrace” and an “international pariah.”

Powell criticized the “minions” from the Clinton campaign for their attempts to “drag me in” to Hillary’s private email scandal.

They are going to dick up the legitimate and necessary use of emails with friggin record rules. I saw email more like a telephone than a cable machine,” Powell wrote last year to his business partner Jeffrey Leeds. “As long as the stuff is unclassified. I had a secure State.gov machine. Everything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris.”

Back on March 14, 2015, Powell questioned Hillary’s health and a Clinton supporter said she could “barely climb the podium steps.”

There are only 54 days, 13 hours and 32 minutes until the 2016 presidential election.
